It's funny how many videos there are for programming hardware. It seems like they're aimed at intro producers, even though the majority of intro producers that need this kind of video are probably just using MIDI packs and standard plugins on something like FL studio. It's a shame that hardware doesn't seem to be as appreciated as it once was because it gives the best results in pretty much every case

At the start of this video chris talks about the night at Tresor that made him understand techno. I still remember the that night for myself, i was 18 at Stereo Montreal back in 2008 Chris and Tommy four Seven collectively played 12 hours that was the i understood techno. That night forever changed my life thank you for that!

I've got a bit of mixed feelings about my P6. While the basic sound is awesome, the effects section is somehwat mediocre. And, even worse than that, enabling the fx section significantly decreases the overall sound quality. And i really wish they had a proper patch name display and a proper software integration 😢

Not sure I trust these magic all-in-one plugins. I'd rather just use an explicit harmonic exciter, FAB Saturn, maybe TAL-dac, a real pultec clone, and multi band compression - each as needed. It's not like its easier being in one VST, theres a ton of knobs and buttons in Gainstation 2 you'd have to learn. It's better to just learn the fundamental plugins (saturation/EQ/compression/exciter), because you'll be using them on everything.
